The International Association of Montessori Educators
The International Association for Montessori Educators is an autonomous post-secondary membership organization, whose mission is:
- To provide leadership within the Montessori community;
- To facilitate educational reform by recognizing the diverse application of models advocating Montessori principles;
- To assist in assuring the highest level of quality in Montessori teacher education through on-going professional development; and
- To ensure acceptance and recognition of Montessori education in the wider community.

The vision of the International Association for Montessori Education is:
- To ensure quality and excellence in Montessori teacher preparation worldwide;
- To establish the highest professional standards firmly rooted in and clearly reflecting the establishment of Montessori models that demonstrates the qualities, values and standards of universal education and excellence;
- To act as a global leader in educational reform through collaboration and networking in the wider educational community; and
- To advance Montessori’s vision of a world of peace through the transformation of the child and the adult.
